The United Kingdom becomes the Seventh Contracting Party to NASCO

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) has today become the seventh contracting Party to NASCO. The UK deposited its instrument of accession to the Convention for the Conservation of Salmon in the North Atlantic Ocean and will now join Canada, Denmark (in respect of the Faroe Islands and Greenland), the European Union, Norway, the Russian Federation and the United States as Parties to NASCO. NASCO’s other six Parties and the Secretariat welcome the UK to NASCO and look forward to the valuable contribution the UK will provide towards our objective to conserve, restore, enhance and rationally manage Atlantic salmon.
